  • 翻訳機能を利用すればいいのでは？ 皆さん辞書機能のGoogleタブに日本語が含まれていない事を問題点に挙げられていますが、

    1.辞書機能で単語を調べる

    2.Googleタブではなく、欄外右下の
    G(Google翻訳機能)アイコンを押す

    3.翻訳機能上段(原文)はEnglishを選択
    翻訳機能下段(訳文)はJapaneseを選択
    (これは一度選択すれば次回から自動的
    に表示されます。)

    4.欄外上段の辞書アイコンを押す
    (欄外下段の検索アイコンではなく。)
    →先程辞書機能で調べた単語についての
    説明英文が自動的に翻訳機能の原文欄
    の方に表示されます

    5.欄外上段の翻訳アイコンを押す
    (欄外下段のGアイコンではなく、
    欄外上段の?アイコンです。)
    →説明英文が日本語に翻訳されて表示
    される

    ではダメなのでしょうか?
    翻訳機能の日本語が完全でないのは周知の事実ですが、辞書機能のGoogleタブもGoogleである事を考えると、タブにJapaneseが追加された所で翻訳精度が上がるとは思えないのです。タブでJapaneseを選択しても上記方法で表示される結果と同じものが表示されると思います。

    上記方法はこうして文字にするととても面倒くさそうですが、初回はともかく2回目からは単語を検索した後3つのアイコンを押すだけで日本語表示が出来るのですから実際やってみればそんなにストレスを感じないと思います。

    翻訳機能の訳文欄の言語選択一覧には多数の言語がリストアップされています。にも関わらず、辞書機能のタブに限られた言語しかリストアップされていないという事は、世界的に見て日本語の需要がそれだけ少ないという事ではないでしょうか?恐らくアプリ制作者側はタブを長く大きくしたくないのだと思います。需要の多い英語以外の言語ベスト10位に絞っておきたいのでしょう。これが日本人もしくは日本国内のアプリ制作者であればとっくに要望をきいてくれていると思います。
