- This app is GOLD Hi. My YouTube channel is Light Smit, and was wondering if I may review this app in a positive light. The reason is that I’ve spend way too much time on the Anki app (2 hours daily), with no time left to learn new things. I’m super busy every day, and this app will definitely save me time. I felt like it was pricey, but I usually spent much more on Japanese books and Starbucks before, which I stopped doing. So in the long term I’ll be actually saving money. Not many people are willing to invest in themselves and make small sacrifices in order to progress.
Even though some improvements can be made, I think I gain more than what I pay for. All of the best, Light :)
[Also, I hope someday I can work for you guys as this is the only product I fully believe to take me from zero to fluent]
- The best language learning system on the web I spent many years learning Japanese. If I had had this system I could have learnt the language to the same level in half the time, if not less.
Lingo Steve - a retired linguistics professor I think - has a YouTube channel that explains his approach to language learning which this system is based on, so please check it out rather than just taking my word for it.

I'm a learner of English in Japan.
Since the new 5.0, the UI has become more stylish and it's easier to find topics by category, which is great.
The old white background makes it easier to find LingQ, but the new black background is much easier on the eyes.
However, there are some things I liked better in the previous version.
I used to be able to keep track of my LingQs with 2 taps, but now I need 3 taps. Honestly, it's troublesome to tap LingQ.
And I used to love it when I tapped on a word and it would play the audio, but since the upgrade, it either doesn't play the audio or it plays it after a very long delay. (When I learning English)
I spend a lot of time with this app, so I'm very stressed.
Would you please improve this?
