The board game:
Play the basic board game in multiplayer mode! Join two of your friends for a maximum of three players and face all the challenges in “Arrival on Catan”.

  • カタンアプリの完成形 先日のアップデートで一気呵成に神アプリへと進化した。
    最大の朗報はフリーマッチ(無料のオンライン対戦)がランダムマップ化したこと。収益を考えればマップのランダム化が課金要素になるのは仕方のないことと諦めていたが、まさかの解禁。
    サーバーとの通信状況も大幅に改善され、文句の付け所がほとんどなくなった。
    もはやこれまでのカタンユニバースとは一線を画す存在だ。ケガをしない大谷翔平、歌の上手い中居正広、ハゲていない孫正義。
    アプリ界の松井秀喜にしてカタン界のイチローと言って良いだろう。1億3千万の日本人全てに薦めたいアプリだ。
  • ダイスの目の偏りがひどい 他の方も書いていますが、Catanというボードゲーム自体は非常に良くできた面白いゲームです。

    ただ、このアプリに関しては、対コンピュータ戦でダイスの目の偏りがひどすぎます。特に序盤、プレーヤーが資源カードをもらえる出目がなかなか出ません。ゲーム全体では出目が確率分布に従うように調整されているのか序盤に出なかった目は後半に取り戻すように出ます。このため、「Friendly Robber」の設定を入れておかないと、自分が資源をもらえるような出目が出る頃には盗賊がやってきていて、結局資源がもらえないというオチがつきます。
    結果、「Friendly Robber」の設定なしで対コンピュータ戦で勝つのは非常に難しいです。

    また、資源カードの交換についても、対コンピュータの場合、コンピュータはプレーヤーと他のコンピュータが同じレートを提示した場合、必ず他のコンピュータを交換相手とします。このため、コンピュータから交換を持ちかけてきたのに、応じようとすると他のコンピュータと交換してしまうことが多発して、対コンピュータの資源交換は成立の可能性が低いです。
    このような特性があるため、資源の交換は「拒否」設定をして（特にカードの集まる後半）、自分から交換をかけた方がプレイしやすいです。（「拒否」にしておかないとコンピュータからの交換の呼びかけが多く、その度にプレイが止まり鬱陶しいので）

    邪推するとポイントでアバター等のアイテムがもらえるため、ポイントを貯めさせないように、勝てなくしているのではないかと思います。
  • もったいない 日本国内でのプレイは諦めた方がいいです。
    とにかく通信状況が劣悪。
    1ゲーム無事に終了することの方が珍しい、という有様
    フリーズしてもその原因すら開示されず、再起動してみたらゲームが終了している。挙句「お前の通信状況が悪いせいだ」という趣旨のメッセージ。他のどのゲームをプレイしてもこんな事にはなりません。
    もともと日本向けに作られたゲームではないという事でしょう。
    ゲーム自体の出来は素晴らしく、非常にもったいない。

    万が一、今後日本語に対応することがあればまたプレイしたいと思います。

    日本国内のプレイヤーは、現状課金する事はオススメしません。
