Industry Leading Security Features
Messages are stored on Proton Mail servers using end-to-end encryption at all times and are transmitted securely between Proton servers and user devices. This largely eliminates the risk of message interception.
Zero Access to Your Email Content
Proton Mail's zero access architecture means that your data is encrypted in a way that makes it inaccessible to us. Data is encrypted on the client side using an encryption key that Proton does not have access to. This means we don't have the technical ability to decrypt your messages.
Open-Source Cryptography
Proton Mail's open-source software has been thoroughly vetted by security experts from around the world to ensure the highest levels of protection. Proton Mail only uses secure implementations of AES, RSA, along with OpenPGP, while all of the cryptographic libraries used are open source. - 概ね高評価でございます SNSやよく使うポイ活のアカウントはよくこのサービスのアドレスで登録しています。メールもきちんと届きますし、送れます。
メールサービスとしては普通に優秀です。
一つ要望があるとするなら、「全てのメールを既読にする」という機能がほしいところです。私はProton MailやGmailを同じiPadで使っていますが、Gmailには未だそのような機能がなく不便です(私が見つけてないだけかもしれませんが)。一つ一つ内容を見ないと既読になりません。
これはProton Mailがいち早く実装することでアドバンテージになると思います。

- I must relate it a 5-star. ProtonMail has the most user friendly interface in the whole secure/encrypted email service industry.
ProtonMail can display the emails at the best accuracy and the most beautiful format.
The app is also made with heart, it’s fast and convenient.
Of course, safety is the most priority for an encrypted mailbox. And proton has done it perfectly. Proton offers 4096-bit encryption which is the best in the industry(like Ctemplar but Ctemplar has a less friendly interface and app).
Overall, ProtonMail will be my first-choice for an email service. ; )
- Poor mail app Pro:
- short email address (pm.me)
- security and privacy policy
Con:
- poor design / UI
- can not change the font of text
- important / starred mails can not be placed at the top
- too exepensive
- no dark mode
Proton is famous for its high level security. But for other all factors, Proton is very poor. it is not worth the subscription price. Please take a look at existing outstanding mail apps such as Spark.
