This app is trash The MHLW recommends using this app for speeding up entry procedures when entering/returning to Japan.
However, the app is completely broken. Tapping the "Pre-registration for Quarantine Procedures" just opens a page in the web browser. From that page you can submit the questionnaire and get a QR code, but the bar code is not displayed anywhere IN THE APP. The web page tells you to take a screenshot of the QR code. (Why even bother with an app then?)
Furthermore, even after answering the questionnaire and getting the QR code, neither the app nor the web page recognize that the questionnaire has been submitted, and the status stays stuck on "Please register".
To top it off, the other items on the web page, ostensibly for submitting the pledge, proof of vaccination, and a negative PCR test result certificate, AREN'T ACTUALLY LINKS. They're just nonfunctional blue text, with the status stuck on "Not yet registered".
As far as I can tell, nothing in the app allows you to submit those items either.
Thus, despite returning to Japan from a country in the blue category, having proof of vaccination, as well as a negative PCR test result cetuficate, the MySOS app screen stayed red BECAUSE THE APP IS COMPLETELY USELESS.
-90 bajillion/10, will never use again
Terrible, Buggy App - Not fit for government use This application is plagued with issues. It’s a disgrace that the Japanese government is relying upon it for quarantine procedures.
1. App tells me I’m at the wrong location when clicking ‘I’m here’ (despite sitting inside my house). This has happened several times
- this is remedied by clicking check-in first (which supposedly changes my address)
2. I keep missing calls because it doesn’t ring, happened twice now - once I was in the bathroom, second time phone was less than 5m away while I was making dinner in the kitchen.
I have worked in tech companies building user facing software for nearly a decade. The fact this was ever released and selected for government use with so many known bugs is unbelievable.
デベロッパの回答 、 Thank you very much for your cooperation in reporting on your health status and your location after entering Japan. We guess you have already tried it, but could you check your GPS settings? GPS accuracy may be affected by the situation of satellite radio waves. We also recommend that you report your location near windows which are not surrounded by buildings. Regarding ringtones, please turn "Downtime" off and turn "App Limits" for the screen time off. In addition, we’d like to ask you to contact the Health Monitoring Center for Overseas Entrants (HCO) to let them know about your situation.
クレージーアプリ I am in a two-week quarantine so I was forced to install this ‘crazy’ app.
AI calls are set two times per day and check-ins are set at least three times per day. I expected the timing of these calls and check-ins would be set at the same time everyday. But it was not! Everyday the calls and check-ins are continuously preponed so I cannot sleep at all!
The only reason I can think of is that this AI must hate me by keeping bothering my sleep. Everyday I am suffering from the pressure of not picking up the AI calls and check-ins. (This app sends me a warning of if not picking up phones, the pledge will be violated and the government will announce my name to the public.)
Developers, please set the schedule of calls and check-ins more reasonably!!!
デベロッパの回答 、 Thank you for using MySOS. Apologies for the late reply. All quarantine regulations and specifications are established by the "Health Surveillance Centre for Offshore Entrants (HCO)". Please refer to the HCO website (https://www.hco.mhlw.go.jp/en/) for the various contacts.
