- Ride with GPS GPSで位置情報を認識してナビゲートするので、山奥や電波の繋がり難いところでも自分の位置が分かるし、ルート設定してturn by turnで走ることができるのが良い。
対応したサイコンなどを使ってナビすることもよくありますが、スマホアプリで使うと(有料会員である必要がありますが)音声での案内が分かりやすく、サイコン画面の地図だけでは見逃しにくい認識しずらい分岐でも、道に迷うことが少なくなる。併用すればさらに確実です。
Wahooなどのサイコンを買わなくても、このアプリで十分ではないでしょうか。
困るのは、スマホのバッテリー消費が速いこと。立ち寄り先や休憩時には必ず一時停止のボタンを押しておく(と電池の節約ができる)ことと、予備バッテリーを多めに(軽くて容量の大きなものがベスト)携帯しておくことは必須です。
- Very useful for biking Sometime the ui could be a bit better here and there, but overall it’s got good features. The in app route planning works, and riding stats are good if you don’t have bike computer.
Also it has live activity which updates how fast you’re going and the next direction even when the phone is locked, which is super useful and may save battery.
- 現状ではベスト ブルベ などのイベントでは公式ルートをRWGで提供するケースが増えてきた。特に長距離ルートの作成には細かく編集できるRWGが向いていると思う。
しかしこのアプリもトンネル内道路の標高を山の表面の標高とみなしてしまうため、獲得標高が大きくズレてしまう。橋やトンネルで車道の標高を正しく認識してくれると星5個だ。
