Please add Finnish to your amazing app :) I’ve been making use of the app in order to maintain and improve the language skills I got in several languages, such as English, Spanish, German, Vietnamese, and Portuguese. What makes this app so special is the number of activities into which it integrates.
I’m Japanese but I set the main language to English. The reason being that is you can choose from no less than 20 languages to learn. Whereas there are only English and Chinese course for those whose main language setting is Japanese.
One sheer request is I do want you to add Finnish into the app. I know you have done so much already. However, I feel like it’d be much better if I can select Finnish for an alternative option. I haven’t or maybe will not use the language a lot in my daily life as I live in Japan, I just wanna study and see the differences from other Scandinavian languages. I believe I can learn best through playing Duolingo. Hopefully my wish will have come true :)
One last thing; your app is awesome. I indeed appreciate your every effort and time to make it possible!! Will keep using it.
Ads keep freezing I love this app and have been an active member from the very beginning (member since the business launch). What I’ve found a little annoying lately is; whenever I watch an ad (after I completed each lesson or when I want to regain a heart), it freezes halfway through the timer count. To “unfreeze”, I have to double press home button to quickly switch from the inactive screen, and then go back to the same screen in order to wake (?) the app. By doing this sort of “quick screen switching”, it somehow fixes the frozen ad and re-initiate ad’s timer count but it’s very annoying. Can you please fix this issue ? It might be specific to certain ads as not all ads cause this bug , but I wonder if it can at least be examined by your team. Thank you for your amazing work as always ! :-)
Arabic course is horrible. I feel like the app shows strong discrimination against Arabic speakers, especially considering that it offers the good quality of Hebrew course and other minor languages.
I downloaded this app to study mainly Arabic, however, it turned out it didn’t teach anything in relation to grammar, vocabulary and basic phrases but only the pronunciation which itself doesn’t have any meaning.
Let’s say if I were the English learner, and I only learn how to pronounce differently between “Arl” and “Ael” for the whole period of the course. Do you seriously think that people will be able to learn the language? Definitely not.
It discourages people from learning the language, and it might even worsen the language barrier against Arabic by offering such an awful course.
