I love this app and have a subscription. That said... I love this app. I have a paid subscription. It changed my life with how much better I feel and how much more I can get done at work. I don’t know what kind of black magic goes into their algorithm but their recommendations just work! They always pinpoint EXACTLY how I am feeling at the moment. It is incredible.
That said, it’s a tiny little startup and the support isn’t great. The widget is a little wonky. I really want the app to grow and get better, so I can’t give it a five at this state. So hence a four.
But this app really is amazing and I tell all my friends about it. Please do give it a try. If you’re like me, you will absolutely fall in love.

Torn apart between good and bad, but definitely more bad than good. It’s wildly inaccurate oftentimes. First I could blame it because the change of timezones. But it’s still wrong later on (it uses the last two weeks as reference points mostly for your current cycle). For example (I had similar issues a lot of days): RISE knows I woke up at 7:15 from Apple Health but it shows my morning grogginess from 6:30 to 8:00. This is just BS. The morning grogginess should start when you wake up. That’s what they even say themselves and that’s actually true by itself. Of course, due to this error my morning peak is also way off. Also, stating I need 7:30 hours of sleep was accurate. But with a target wake time of 7:00 it still showed me to go to bed before 21:30?! With ZERO SLEEP DEBT even?? So ridiculous. Is there no final check? My gosh.. Well, that being said, when I incidentally got up at the exact time which would be my grogginess start, then yes, the calculations of energy peaks were mostly accurate. Of course, the melatonin window (the “go to bed window”) was still off by many hours, granted. As other reviewers mentioned, the sleep tracking of the app itself is a joke. It does not incorporate how much noise you make, your snoring, waking up, etc. like Sleep Cycle does i.e. So, I cannot recommend it. I hope it will improve and I’ll try again in the future. I see a lot of potential here. I’d recommend trying it yourself though since your mileage may vary. And, I still use the energy cycle as a rough orientation for the future because I already have a consistent sleep pattern. There is no need for magical differences in calculating new each day (which is also annoying for planning and is hindering your productivity if you think you will have less energy).
