Major annoyance with app always wanting me to sign in I really do like this app, I have the family suite. However, a major annoyance is that the app constantly asks me to sign in whenever I switch from the desktop Mac version to the iPad version. This a MAJOR inconvenience, especially when I am on the road and trying to show my work to clients offsite. Why does the Office suite forget so often that I am the same person? To make matters worse, I need to confirm via text message so it requires both phone and iPad. Why not just use the Face ID or Touch ID system? Don’t tell me that MS Authenticator is a solution! That app breaks often and can be restricted via employer policy settings.
Key issues in iOS I will never understand why productivity programs for iOS have lesser functionality than desktop versions. This is a key complaint for me across the spectrum of MS Office applications. There is no reason for this. There is no logic to it as I see no real technical reason why this should be so. If the company is concerned about people abandoning desktop or laptop computers, it need not worry. All devices have their place. However, not being able to make specific changes, edits, or additions on a tablet, because of lesser functionality seems like an invitation to abandon the application itself and, perhaps return to Apple’s own apps. Stop doing this to iOS versions of programs. It is highly dysfunctional and poses multiple problems for users every day.
