The Greek and Hebrew Bible is the most complete study bible app for the iPod Touch, iPhone, or iPad. Simple but powerful search and cross reference. English, Hebrew and Greek parallel or interlinear.
And now with interlinear support!
As a Bible students, sometimes we want to simply read scripture and contemplate God's word. At other times, for example in a Bible Study with others, we might want to look at the original language or perform a word study. For some, there might be a need or desire to study and learn the original languages and word forms.
Our goal is to have a Bible app that rises to the level of our study need … the equivalent of carrying a Study Bible, a Strong's concordance, a couple interlinears, a notebook to write your thoughts, and a study guide … all in your shirt pocket.
- Read the Bible in English, Greek, Hebrew or interlinear
- Look at maps associated with the chapter - Jump to topically similar references - Simply touch a greek word you don't know and get: - grammer - definition - pronunciation - Listen to the Greek New Testament in Greek - Use advanced searching to find a scripture you had in mind. - View You study history - Take notes - Use flash cards to help your language skills. - take tests to evaluate you language skills - read Greek grammer books and commentaries.
And unlike many iPhone app this comes with Documentation. How to setup international keyboard. How to use advanced searching. How to pronounce Hebrew and Greek.
Shazi Software's Greek and Hebrew Bible … the complete study tool.
This software has been tested on iPhone 3G, although it is much faster on newer hardware.
Please improve this app I’m sad to say this app was very disappointing. It needs a lot of work. It’s slow and crashes multiple times every time I use it. I can’t listen to an audio message and use the app at the same time without it crashing. The interface looks cheap and is poorly laid out. The search functions are primitive and I can’t seem to find a back button to return to the same verse I was looking at after exploring others. Verses associated with the same word are listed but can’t be read in their entirety. Tapping them takes me to the verse but there is no back button to get me back to where I was, or even to the other instances of the same word. There is a lot of extra junk in this app like a giant commentary. Unfortunately I can’t even read it on my ipod touch because the text doesn’t rotate sideways and the words are too small. The commentary should be deleted. I want to study the Bible in Greek and Hebrew and let the Scriptures comment on themselves. That’s why I bought the app. Morover, there’s an annoying pop up containing the developer’s email address with a request to contact him if I have problems. I wouldn’t have been so disappointed if this app had cost me 99 cents. For the price I had high hopes for this app but it simply doesn’t deliver. I hope the developer improves this app by getting rid of the bloat and modeling the interface more along the lines of the Strong’s KJV Scholar edition, which is extremely easy to use, though not near as comprehensive. Please improve this app.
