デベロッパの回答 、 Thank you for your kind words, Krashyxxx! Your feedback means a lot to us, really. We understand that 1Blocker may cost more than some other similar apps, but we are working hard to provide the best product on the market and make 1Blocker worth its price. By the way, I just wanted to add that our app is an entire ecosystem of apps, and if you purchase it on iOS, you can use it on all your iOS+macOS devices at no extra cost, and share it with your family members.
If you have any ideas or feature requests, we are always happy to hear from you at support@1blocker.com. You are welcome to contact us anytime!
very high battery consumption is disappointing For example, when the battery consumption is about 10% per hour in total, 1Block often takes up the majority (70-80%) of the total of 10% drop, which is hard to understand. 1Block alone consumed 70-80% of the healthy battery.
I've been using 1Block for many years, and I've never compared the results between using it and not using it, so I honestly don't know what the actual effect is. I've been using 1Block just for peace of mind, but I'm not sure if it's worth it when the battery consumption is so high.
The 10 Days rate was 10%. (The last 24 hours was 22% and took the first place.) I cannot correctly evaluate if this is too high or not from a technical POV, but I feel it is very high as a such application of a kind. Switching to DNS Proxy prevents my iPhone from my cellular network.
The latest 10days rate was 29% with a shock but another surprise just I have noticed is that 1Blocker consumed 2.7GB out of the total 5.6GB cellular data usage in a past month. The second high apps consumed 1.4GB, the 3rd 0.5GB.
Probably now is the time to give up using this apps.

If switching between DNS and HTTP modes doesn't work, the only way to improve battery usage at the moment is by disabling Firewall. There might be a lot of tracking requests that trigger Firewall's filters, which affect battery life. We will try to optimize this process in the future.
Also, the good news is that fully functioning content blocking in Safari, including YouTube ad-blocking, is still available even with Firewall disabled as it's handled by a different tool.
