Wifi not connecting I have bought a new model after struggling wifi syncing problem for years. The new model just spits out “issue connecting wifi” error and no resetting helps this time. To make things even worse, exchanging batteries resets the scales to factory settings. Incredible that the product can get so much worse. The previous model was adding 1.8 kg randomly from time to time. If the new one makes the same error I would vote for Nokia as the worst innovator in the world history. Edit: after days of experiments I somehow managed to get wifi working. Some combination of rebooting the router and uninstalling the scales finally did it. No random weight additions so far. Please add numbers to errors to track what is going on.

Buggy even many years later This app and my scale (the Withings Smart Body Analyzer from many years ago) are generally good but very buggy and inconsistent when it comes to network connections and syncing data. This has persisted for many years and has not improved.
1. Data does not always sync between the scale and the app. Every couple of weeks, after a weigh-in, data will not sync to the app. There is no indication on the scale or in the app that there is a problem. When I log in to my Withings account on the website, all of my data is there. Logging out and then logging back in on the app usually fixes this. But it’s annoying that it happens so frequently.
2. Data does not propagate correctly. Recently, I weighed in and my data did not sync to the app or the Weight dashboard on the website. However, my latest measurement was on the main summary page on the website (on the square widget). When clicking on it to see my weight graph over time, it was again missing. So, the data is somewhere in the system but is only displayed in one place and did not propagate to the graph or to the iOS app, or anywhere else.
These data passing issues are really disappointing because Withings is probably the best connected health devices company. I just wish there was more polish and consistency.
