This app will make you confident When learning a language on your own, it makes you so anxious and worried about your skill, mostly in your pronunciation. With this app, you can learn the native pronunciation and practice on your own! Keep in mind: Since this app is dedicated to practicing pronunciation, it may not be a good idea to learn a language only on this app. Yet, I think this app is essential. Highly recommend👍
Okay but with a lot of drawbacks It’s not very comprehensive, there are ads between every lesson that you can’t skip and after you finish some of the introduction it’ll lock you out of it until you pay for premium. It’s way too persistent. The typing (for Japanese at least) still has some problems, I use the romaji keyboard and whenever I type a word that still has an underline under it, it would just register it as romaji instead of the jp characters (ex : if こんばんは was still underlined it would automatically switch to “konbanha” and submit that as an answer) the wording is a bit funky? It uses a lot more kanji than hiragana. And for words like こんにちは and こんばんは (where the は character is pronounced as わ) would be こんにちわ and こんばんわ through out the courses which is just really annoying in my opinion.
Overall it’s really great, I suggest only getting premium if you only want to work on your speaking when using Falou. If you want to learn/work on grammar, vocabulary, all of those stuff Falou is not it.
Great app I LOVE the app. I've been learning three languages, mainly German, on it (paid version). And for this app, I now recognize and understand what people here (Vienna) say a lot more than before. It's making my life much easier. So, thank you for the great app. First off, I like the little encouragements we get every lesson. The "Word by Word" section that lets you pronounce a short phrase at a time is fantastic. Although, some original sentences used are a little too long to REMEMBER (I've found that was the case in the intermediate Spanish section, just FYI). So, even though there are different ways of saying the same thing, since you need to follow exactly what the machine (?) is teaching you to say, it can be frustrating not speaking but trying to remember what the sentence was.
The "Listening" where you could just listen to the sentences you've learned is absolutely lovely. A sleep timer would make it even nicer. Some parts of the "Speaking" section need a little tweaking; the translations shown at the bottom and what you need to say sometimes don't match (e.g., Alex is shown in the translation while what you need to say is Alexander). I once saw a button to let you know this kind of error, but not anymore. The button that shows up on every page would be nice. Lastly, would you consider adding European Portuguese, please? That'd be a huge help. Thank you!
