Great, but unnecessarily, frustratingly location hobbled Edit2: Crashing on my iPhone 13 Pro Max when trying to exit VR view. Works till then, though.
Edit: Now we can visit places via VR even when we're not physically there. Yay! However, you apparently have to physically go there once before the off-site VR access is enabled :-( check Heart (Collections ))
This app can be great. I was able to see the old Vernykoen area of Yokosuka while walking in the park. However, 1) you have to be there to see the VR exhibit. It would be useful to access this from home, while looking at modern maps, to plan where to go. And 2) The VR exhibit can randomly switch around if two VR areas are nearby, and there's no way to choose the one you want to see. You have to walk back hoping to get the one you want. When it works, it's great. Just please, developers, unlink the GPS from the VR. The VR buttons are on the map anyway. We just need a dot on the map showing where we are now.
Horrible waste of 500mb of data TLDR: Don’t waste your time downloading this app. Was visiting Tomioka Silk Museum and saw as sign for that I was hoping to bring some interest to an empty room. After downloading the app and the English content for this experience which was about 300Mb, it was sparse on content and had “nothing” as the content for many fields. So another 200mb to get the Japanese content that had little more than a website. There was no VR content and if there was the usability for this app is so bad you won’t find it.
