Recommendations to improve The dictionary is good, but there are two problems I wish app developers would address. １. Favourites button I wish there would be an easier way to add the word to favorites, for example, direct star button next to the word. 2. Quicker way to search next word It is annoying that there is no quick way to search for a next word. There is a search sign and also an X sign to type in new words but both of them just lead to the word that I have typed earlier. So I have to click second time to remove it and then type a new word. You could leave a search sign for an option to edit previously typed word, and the X sign to directly remove and allow to immediately type in the new word.
使い物になりません／Too slow (iPhone) iPhoneでこのOxford Dictionary of Englishアプリを使っています。スクロールやタップに対する画面の反応が極めて遅く使い物になりません。たとえば掲載コンテンツの多い単語(例えばground)で、PHRASESを調べたかったりする場合(例えばmake up ground)、スクロール距離が長いのでその意味にたどり着くことは事実上できません。ときにはアプリが突然落ちます。他のレビュアーの方が投稿されているスクロールできないと言うのも同じ事象だと思います。真面目に取り組んでくれないディベロッパーの方々を残念に思います。
Using this app "Oxford Dictionary of English" on my iPhone. Because the responses of the app to my scrolling or tapping is extremely slow, for example, if you want to see PHRASES part for a word that has much contents(e.g. "ground”) that requires much scrolling, it is virtually impossible to reach the meaning of its PHRASES(e.g. “make up ground”). Sometimes I can see the app crashes abruptly. I think it is the same issue that another reviewer have posted on the app review about not being able to scroll. If only the developers tackle this with a little more enthusiasm.
