Time consuming but worth it All my emulators are working well. I use the DS and GBA emulator most. The UI is pretty difficult to use and settings need to be saved correctly for it to work the way you want it but once you get it working it’s super nice. I would say UI overhaul is much needed (although I understand this is a pretty standard UI across all platforms that run RetroArch)
One last thing; can the gesture bar be made to hide while emulating a game? It’s kind of annoying to see that white bar flash on when you tap screen just to have it disappear after a second. Thank you devs!
Needlessly difficult to use Look, I get it, this is a free app and it’s incredibly powerful and flexible. It’s awesome that the dev took the time to bring this to the store.
But the UX is awful. I have decades of experience in IT, much of which involves dealing with open source software, and this has to be one of the worst apps I’ve ever seen in terms of getting it configured and running.
I still don’t have it set up as I want after diving into it multiple times. It’s needlessly challenging to navigate, and overall feels like a bad Android port.
I really wish the dev would look to Delta for inspiration.
Still really cool to play Sega Saturn games on my iPhone though!
